Zelensky Rejects Putin's Offer to Stop the War: "We Will Not Give Anything to Moscow"

Zelensky, in a video posted on Sunday through his official platforms, emphasized that Ukraine "will not give anything to the Russians," pointing out that Putin's words are not enough to stop the war, but require increasing international pressure to deter him.
He added that Kyiv has never been the one to decide the war, but has repeatedly sought a ceasefire without conditions and has made multiple initiatives to achieve peace, yet Moscow continues to obstruct these efforts through ongoing delays in negotiations.
The Ukrainian president considered that the continuation of the war is due to Russia's desire to prolong it, noting that Russian forces carry out hundreds of attacks daily on vital and civilian infrastructure, using thousands of drones, guided bombs, and missiles.
He also pointed out that Ukraine continues to strengthen its air defenses in cooperation with its international partners, through joint projects and investments in the military manufacturing sector, stressing that the solution does not lie in words but in actual pressure on Moscow.
In contrast, Trump had spoken by phone with Putin on Friday, mentioning the latter's desire for peace, but later hinted that Washington is currently not ready to supply Kyiv with Tomahawk missiles, a step that Russia had previously warned against.
