He began his professional career in 2013 in revolutionary courts established in liberated areas, playing an active role in establishing alternative judicial bodies, ensuring the building of an independent judiciary through drafting regulations, training judges and lawyers, and upholding principles of transparency and legal compliance. Al-Turba has always been a courageous voice against oppression, having been arrested on April 7, 2012, by the State Security branch in Al-Qamishli for supporting peaceful protests against the previous regime. After a period of detention involving pressure and intimidation, he was released and resumed his human rights and judicial activities with determination. On December 13, 2025, he was appointed by the Ministry of Justice in the caretaker government led by Mohammed Al-Bashir as a Senior Judicial Inspector and a member of the committee for interviewing judges over the age of sixty-five who wish to continue their judicial work, reflecting great confidence in his abilities and integrity within the judicial institution.
