Today, Friday, 14/02/2025, the Syrian U-17 women's national football team will face the Jordanian U-17 women's national team at 7:30 PM in the semi-final match of the West Asian Football Championship currently taking place in Saudi Arabia at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Dammam.
The Syrian U-17 women's national team advanced to this stage after finishing second in their group with a win against Palestine and a loss to Lebanon, while the Jordanian team topped their group with two wins against Bahrain and the host team Saudi Arabia, who exited the tournament early.
The Syrian U-17 women's national team completed their preparations for today's match after their final training session yesterday at the Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium's training ground, which included recovery exercises, penalty shootout practice, tactical drills, and final touches by the coaching staff.
Head coach Maha Al-Qatrib stated: "We are pleased to have achieved part of our goal in this competition by reaching the semi-finals. Despite the positive result, we have a long way to go towards the title. Our match against the Jordanian team will be a great incentive for us to reach the final. We have great confidence in our players and will exert maximum effort."
