Wael Kfoury's Ex-Wife Reveals Her Struggles with Alimony Cases and Criticizes the Lebanese Judiciary

Angela Beshara, the ex-wife of Lebanese artist Wael Kfoury, raised a cry on social media revealing her ongoing struggles for more than six years within the corridors of the civil court for personal status in Lebanon, due to alimony cases concerning her two daughters.
In a post via the "story" feature on her "Instagram" account, titled "Raise Your Voice", Beshara expressed her anger at the way her case is being handled, accusing the assigned judge of not adhering to the legally specified alimony amount.
She pointed out that he relied on "illogical justifications" to reduce the owed amounts, including the phrase: "the economic crisis affects you and him", which she considered evidence of ignoring the difficult living conditions.
She confirmed that this stalled judicial process has caused her a suffocating financial crisis that has directly affected her and her daughters' lives, considering what is happening as "an injustice that cannot be tolerated".
Her post sparked widespread interaction on social media, where many followers expressed their solidarity with her, while others criticized the slow judicial procedures and the weak enforcement of laws related to women's and children's rights in Lebanon.
