In a new escalation of events, Oleh Aleksandrov, the head of Ukrainian intelligence, revealed to the official "Ukrinform" agency that China is providing Russian intelligence support by supplying sensitive information derived from satellites, enabling Russia to carry out precise missile strikes within Ukrainian territory.
Aleksandrov explained that Beijing shares with Moscow data on strategic targets, including locations where foreign companies invest, noting a "high level of cooperation" between the two countries in the field of space reconnaissance to identify vital locations to target in Ukraine.
These accusations come amid repeated Russian attacks, the most notable of which occurred last August when missile strikes hit an electrical appliances factory in the Zakarpattia region of western Ukraine, resulting in 15 injuries, according to statements from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and local officials.
Zelensky had previously accused China in April of supplying Russia with weapons and ammunition, asserting that his government has intelligence indicating that China is producing weapons within Russian territory, reflecting the depth of military support from Beijing to Moscow in its war against Ukraine.
These developments come at a time of increasing international tension regarding the ongoing conflict, with warnings about the implications of cooperation between Moscow and Beijing on regional and international security.
