The Turkish Ministry of Defense confirmed today, Thursday, that it is closely monitoring developments between the Syrian government and the Syrian Democratic Forces "SDF", pointing out that the recent attacks on Syrian army positions in the countryside of Aleppo reveal SDF's non-compliance with the March 10 agreement, which poses a direct threat to regional peace and stability.
The ministry added that Ankara is cooperating with Damascus in the field of counter-terrorism, and supports the principle of "one state and one army" as a foundation for achieving security and stability in Syria and the region.
This statement comes amid rising tensions in the north of the country, amid fears of a collapse of security understandings between the concerned parties.
