The Hebrew channel "Kan" reported that Israel expressed pessimism about the results of the attack that targeted leaders of Hamas in the Qatari capital, Doha, confirming that the operation did not achieve its goals.
The channel added that Qatar sent a direct message to Tel Aviv after the incident stating: "Do not communicate with us regarding the upcoming negotiations."
In contrast, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu escalated his rhetoric towards Doha, stating in a statement on Wednesday evening: "I say to Qatar and all countries that harbor terrorists: either you expel them or prosecute them, and if you do not do that, we will carry out this mission ourselves," adding: "We did to Qatar what the United States did after the events of September 11."
The Hebrew channel indicated that despite more than a day passing since the targeting of Doha, no clear indicators of the operation's success have emerged in Israel.
News agencies had reported on Tuesday that Qatar announced the suspension of its mediating role in the ceasefire negotiations between Israel and Hamas, following the raid that targeted a Hamas headquarters in Doha.
