U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Thursday that the war in Gaza has ended, expressing his belief that the next phase will witness lasting peace, noting that the release of hostages will take place on the coming Monday or Tuesday.
Trump stated in his remarks that he is proud of the U.S. role in putting an end to the conflict, which he described as "horrific," emphasizing that Washington will continue its efforts to ensure stability in the situation.
He added that he will try to head to the Middle East soon, where the signing ceremony of the agreement is scheduled to be held in Egypt, stressing that the whole world united behind efforts to achieve a ceasefire, including parties that were not in agreement with the United States previously.
