Trump Confirms: U.S. Forces May Enter Iran and Strikes Continue

U.S. President Donald Trump revealed the possibility of sending American forces to Iran, emphasizing that such a decision would only be made for a "very strong" reason, and that any potential ground intervention would be against an adversary that has been "almost destroyed."
Trump's statements came during his return aboard Air Force One to Florida, after participating in the ceremonies for the transfer of the remains of six American soldiers killed in an Iran-related attack.
When asked about the possibility of deploying U.S. forces on the ground, Trump said: "Could that happen? Maybe, but for a very good reason."
He added:
"If that ever happens, they will have been destroyed to the point where they are unable to fight on the ground."
He also did not rule out the use of U.S. forces to secure Iranian nuclear materials, clarifying that this option has not been officially discussed yet, but it may be raised later.
In this context, he said:
"We haven't talked about that yet, but what happened was almost complete destruction. They couldn't even access their facilities, and we might deal with it later. That would be a good thing."
Earlier on Saturday, Trump participated in official ceremonies at Dover Air Force Base to receive the remains of the fallen soldiers.
He confirmed that military operations could continue "as long as necessary," adding:
"The duration will be as long as it takes."
Trump claimed that U.S. forces have inflicted extensive damage on Iranian military capabilities, stating:
"We have destroyed their naval fleet, 44 ships, and completely destroyed their air force, all the planes, and we have destroyed most of their missiles."
He added that the strikes targeted missile manufacturing facilities and led to a significant decline in Iran's ability to produce drones, confirming: "We hit them where it hurts, including almost all of their command levels."
Trump concluded by saying:
"The United States is advancing in the war by a large margin; we have almost completely destroyed their evil empire, and it may continue for some time."
