The Syrian Ministry of Transport held a meeting today, Thursday, via video conferencing with the International Road Transport Union "IRU", discussing the draft memorandum of understanding intended to be signed between the two parties, with the aim of supporting the ministry's efforts in developing and enhancing freight transport services in Syria. The discussion revolved around enhancing training and professional qualification opportunities for companies and individuals interested in entering the international road transport sector, positively impacting the efficiency of this vital sector and improving the quality of services provided. This step comes within the Ministry of Transport's efforts to strengthen cooperation with relevant international entities, and benefit from global experiences in developing the organizational and technical structure of the freight transport sector. The meeting was attended by the Director of Road Transport at the Ministry, Emad Al-Din Al-Qash, the Director of Freight Transport, Khaled Kasshah, and the official responsible for international cooperation, Iyad Al-Asaad.
