Arrival of a new shipment of cars at the port of Tartous as part of enhancing economic openness.

A ship coming from South Korea docked at the port of Tartous early this Saturday, May 31st, loaded with 824 cars, marking the fourth in a series of recent car import operations.
The port of Tartous had previously witnessed the arrival of the first car ship on April 28th, followed by a second shipment on May 18th consisting of 1800 cars, and then a third ship on May 21st carrying 1250 tourist cars, indicating a noticeable acceleration in the pace of import operations through Syrian ports.
According to local sources, authorities at the port immediately started unloading the ship's cargo upon arrival, in addition to following customs and technical procedures in preparation for delivering the cars to the importing companies, ensuring their official entry into the markets.
This step comes within the context of the country's economic openness, indicating the return of Syrian ports to play their role as a major logistical player in the region, as part of governmental efforts to provide imported goods through official channels in a safe and regulated manner.
