The people of Homs welcome the second convoy of returnees from refugee camps in Jordan.

The second caravan of forcibly displaced families returning from the Azraq camp in Jordan to their original cities and villages in Homs province was warmly welcomed by the locals, amidst women's ululations and popular songs expressing their joy at this return.
This initiative is part of the "Voluntary Return" program carried out by the "Farah Foundation" in collaboration with Homs province. The foundation's representative, Yahya Al-Rifai, emphasized that this caravan is a continuation of efforts to repatriate Syrian families residing in camps back to their areas.
Al-Rifai explained that the coordination for the return was made after a field visit by the foundation's founder, Dr. Mohammad Rahif Hakimi, to Jordan, aiming to facilitate the return of the displaced and enhance their stability in their original areas.
The caravan included 235 families, approximately 730 individuals, who had experienced forced displacement during the years of war. They were transported by dedicated buses, accompanied by trucks carrying their belongings and household furniture.
To alleviate the returnees' hardships at the beginning of their journey to stability, "Farah Foundation" distributed food baskets and clothes to all families, in a humanitarian step aimed at supporting them and reintegrating them into their local communities.
This comes after the return of several caravans since the beginning of the year, coinciding with a widespread popular campaign under the hashtag "Return Caravan," through which activists and Syrians expressed solidarity with the returning families, considering this step a "national message challenging displacement and reviving millions' dream of returning to their homes."
