As part of the efforts of the Ministry of Education to enhance the educational process and support the reconstruction of infrastructure, the ministry opened three schools in the province of Quneitra yesterday after their rehabilitation and renovation. The schools are "Al-Hanout," "Saida," and "Ain Farikha."
This initiative aims to restore hope and stability to the region and reaffirm the continuous development of the educational sector despite the challenges facing the country.
Mohammed Al-Hanoun, the director of school buildings at the ministry, stated during his visit to the schools that the renovation works lasted for two months and included painting walls, installing electricity, windows, doors, preparing bathrooms, as well as constructing playgrounds. He mentioned that the capacity of these schools is 595 students.
Al-Hanoun added that improving the infrastructure of educational institutions contributes to providing a clean and safe learning environment that encourages students and parents to engage in education. He explained that rehabilitation and renovation are crucial steps to enhance education and stability in the province of Quneitra.
Since the liberation of Syria until the end of last April, the Directorate of School Buildings has completed the renovation and rehabilitation of around 70 schools out of 8,000 schools that were out of service in Syria. This reflects the ministry's ongoing commitment to supporting the educational process and achieving a better future for future generations.
