Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Saturday that his Omani counterpart, Badr Al-Busaidi, presented during a short visit to Tehran proposed American terms aimed at reaching a nuclear agreement between Tehran and Washington. Araghchi stated on the "X" platform that Iran "will respond to the American proposal in line with national principles, interests, and the rights of the Iranian people." Araghchi's statement came ahead of an anticipated sixth round of talks between Washington and Tehran to resolve the decades-long dispute over Iran's nuclear program. The date and location of the talks have not been announced yet. The two countries have held five rounds of talks in recent weeks on the Iranian nuclear file, marking the highest level of communication since the United States withdrew in 2018 during Donald Trump's first term from the agreement signed in 2015.
