About two weeks after the airstrikes launched by the United States and Israel on Iran, US intelligence reports indicate that the Iranian leadership remains cohesive and has not reached a stage that threatens its stability or survival in power, according to Reuters citing sources familiar with security assessments.

Intelligence Assessment: The regime is not threatened with collapse

Reuters reported, citing three sources familiar with US intelligence information, that current estimates suggest that the leadership structure in Iran remains "largely intact," despite ongoing military strikes in recent days.
According to the sources, the intelligence reports analyzed so far do not show signs of an imminent collapse of the Iranian regime or a loss of control over state institutions.

Continued control over Iranian affairs

One source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the information, indicated that a large number of intelligence reports provide a consistent assessment that the Iranian leadership is still capable of managing the state and maintaining its internal cohesion.
The source added that estimates also suggest that the regime "retains a significant degree of control over public opinion within Iran," despite the military and economic pressures the country is facing.

Military strikes have not changed the political equation

These estimates come at a time when the United States and Israel continue to carry out military strikes targeting military facilities and infrastructure within Iran, amid ongoing escalation between the two sides.
However, assessments from US intelligence agencies indicate that these military operations, despite their field impact, have not yet led to a fundamental change in the power structure or the stability of the Iranian leadership.

International anticipation of the war's trajectory

Observers believe that the continued cohesion of the Iranian leadership may prolong the conflict and make reaching a political settlement more complicated, amid the conflicting parties' adherence to their military and strategic objectives.
The international community is also closely monitoring the developments of the crisis, amid fears of an escalation of confrontation and its impact on regional stability and global energy markets.
