The official account of American Judge Frank Caprio, globally known as "The Compassionate Judge," announced his passing on Wednesday evening at the age of 88, after a long and brave battle with pancreatic cancer.

The account stated that Judge Caprio passed away peacefully, just a few days after he posted an emotional message asking his loved ones to pray for him while he was in the hospital due to a setback in his illness.

It is noted that Frank Caprio retired in January of last year from the bench after a 40-year career, where he became famous for his compassionate rulings that made his sessions a focal point for the world, and his title of "The Compassionate Judge" became a symbol of human justice and mercy.


"The Compassionate Judge" is 87 years old and is known for his show Caught in Providence, which aired on over 200 stations in America, and he was nominated for Daytime Emmy Awards four times.

Caprio served as a judge in the Providence Municipal Court for 38 years, gained fame online, and amassed over 26 million followers on his social media platforms. His clips have garnered over 10 billion views worldwide due to his unique and compassionate nature, and he is known globally as "The Kindest Judge in the World," according to an official site affiliated with Providence College.
