The General Authority for Land and Maritime Border Crossings announced through its official channel on the "Telegram" application the opening date of the Al-Arida border crossing with the Lebanese Republic, starting from Tuesday morning, June 3, 2025.
The Authority clarified in its statement issued yesterday that the decision to open the crossing comes despite ongoing renovation and maintenance work at the site, as part of its efforts to facilitate the movement of citizens and the transfer of residents between the two countries during the blessed Eid al-Adha holiday.
The Authority confirmed that all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and the safety of travelers, indicating that the opening of the crossing at this time aims to relieve pressure on other crossings and enhance social and economic communication between the Syrian and Lebanese sides.
The Al-Arida crossing is one of the important border crossings in Tartous Governorate, serving as a vital artery for passenger and cargo movement, especially for residents of western Syria.
