Tartous: War criminal Taysir Mahfoud arrested in Tartous.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced the arrest of Taysir Mahfouz, one of the war criminals in the former Syrian regime, during a precise security operation in Tartous city. This was based on intelligence indicating his presence in the area.
Captain Abdul Rahman Al-Dibagh, the director of Damascus Security, stated in a statement conveyed by the ministry through its "Telegram" channel that "Mahfouz" was wanted for war crimes against civilians, as he previously worked in the military security branch "215" (Raid Brigade) and was involved in serious violations, especially in the neighborhoods of Mezzeh and Kafr Sousa in Damascus.
Al-Dibagh added: "In cooperation with the Tartous Security Directorate, a well-planned ambush led to his arrest," noting that the detainee was responsible for "disappearing more than 200 people, most of whom are from Mezzeh and Kafr Sousa, in the prisons of the defunct regime."
The ministry's statement emphasized the continued pursuit of all those involved in crimes against the Syrian people, with Al-Dibagh stating: "We will continue our work to track down war criminals and ensure they receive fair punishment."
