Tartus discusses enhancing cooperation with the United Nations in health, education, and environmental services

The meeting addressed mechanisms to support projects in the health sector, particularly hospitals, by providing specialized medical devices to treat chronic diseases, which contributes to improving the quality of health services provided to citizens.
The two parties also discussed ways to support the education sector by providing necessary logistical supplies and rehabilitating the infrastructure of public facilities, along with developing joint coordination plans to achieve sustainable development goals in the governorate.
During the meeting, Governor Al-Shami emphasized the importance of supporting the service sector responsible for forested areas and woodlands by equipping it with modern machinery for constructing secondary roads, which allows for quick access to fire sites and controlling them when they break out, amid increasing environmental challenges.
