The Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources in the Syrian caretaker government conveyed statements by the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Ghayath Diab, through its official account on the "Telegram" application. In these statements, he affirmed the ministry's commitment to its national responsibilities in protecting natural resources and ensuring the continued provision of fuel to citizens through legal and safe means.

Minister Diab further explained that the ministry will continue its work in collaboration with relevant authorities to pursue and hold accountable anyone engaged in illegally importing fuel from any region or involved in the theft and sabotage of oil pipelines and wells. He emphasized that these actions constitute a blatant violation of the state's and citizens' interests, necessitating strict measures to address them.

Diab also indicated that the ministry will take stringent measures to crack down on informal street vendors selling fuel, which negatively impacts the local market and poses a threat to public safety. He stressed that such illegal practices exacerbate crises and affect the stability of the fuel sector.

The minister emphasized that protecting oil resources is a collective responsibility, urging all citizens to cooperate with the ministry by reporting any illegal activities in this sector. He pointed out that such joint efforts contribute to enhancing energy security and safeguarding national resources from unlawful exploitation.
