Lebanon Summons Iranian Chargé d'Affaires in Protest Against Interventions Affecting Sovereignty

Lebanon's Foreign Minister announced on Thursday the summoning of the Iranian chargé d'affaires at the embassy in Beirut to express the country's rejection of any interference in Lebanese internal affairs.

The minister stated that he tasked the Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry with informing the Iranian ambassador of Beirut's position rejecting what he described as events and positions that violate national sovereignty.

This diplomatic move comes amid rising regional tensions and the repercussions of the ongoing conflict in the area, which have reflected politically and security-wise on the Lebanese scene.
