The Syrian Minister of Justice and "UNDP" Discuss Strengthening Cooperation in Supporting the Judiciary Sector

The Syrian Minister of Justice, Mazhar al-Wais, discussed on Wednesday with a delegation from the United Nations Development Programme ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in supporting the justice sector..
This came during a meeting he held with the head of the delegation, Hala Rizk, at the ministry's headquarters in Damascus, where discussions revolved around potential areas of cooperation, which include "restoring the infrastructure of courts, developing the capabilities of judicial staff, and improving judicial work mechanisms," in addition to discussing ways to support digital transformation and facilitate citizens' access to justice services.
For his part, Minister al-Wais emphasized "the importance of transforming international support into practical, implementable programs," pointing out "the role of the judiciary as a fundamental pillar in the reconstruction process."
For her part, the UNDP representative confirmed "the continuity of support within the framework of rehabilitation and development efforts," as part of the UN program's contribution to supporting reconstruction and development projects in Syria, which focus on funding projects to rehabilitate infrastructure, especially in the education and health sectors.
