The Syrian Interior Ministry Denies Rumors About the Work Methods of the Cybercrime Branch

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, Nour al-Din al-Baba, confirmed on Thursday that the information circulated on some social media pages attributed to the Cybercrime Branch is misleading and unfounded.  

Al-Baba explained that all news related to the work of the ministry's departments, including the Cybercrime Branch, is published exclusively through the ministry's official accounts on social media platforms.  

He emphasized that the branch continues its work according to the approved laws and regulations, relying on specialized staff of engineers and technicians in dealing with cybercrimes using the prescribed means and techniques.  

The Ministry of Interior urged citizens to refer to official sources when following any news related to its work and not to be swayed by rumors or untrustworthy pages.
