The Syrian Foreign Minister discusses ways to support regional stability with the International Crisis Group

The Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Asaad Hassan al-Shaybani, received a delegation from the International Crisis Group headed by Richard Atwood at the ministry's headquarters in Damascus, where they discussed the latest developments in the regional situation and the efforts made to enhance the dialogue and stability in the region.

The meeting addressed the developments in the political scene in the Middle East, focusing on the importance of supporting diplomatic initiatives that contribute to easing tensions and enhancing cooperation among the active parties.

Minister al-Shaybani emphasized during the meeting the necessity of adopting realistic and comprehensive approaches to address the crises, noting that Syria continues to work with international partners to build a secure and stable political environment.

For his part, the head of the delegation, Richard Atwood, expressed the group's interest in continuing coordination with the Syrian government, praising the efforts made to restore balance to sensitive regional files, especially in light of the rapid geopolitical transformations.
