The Central Authority for Monitoring and Inspection revealed the results of its work for the past month of September, confirming the collection of over 9 billion Syrian pounds and the completion of 326 legal cases, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance transparency, combat corruption, and improve institutional performance.
The authority mentioned, through its official channel on Telegram, that it managed to recover an amount of 9,094,757,779 Syrian pounds, while the value of the amounts demanded for collection reached about 246 billion Syrian pounds during the same month, as part of its efforts to protect public funds.
In the legal context, the authority indicated that 34 cases were referred to the judiciary, and 326 other cases were processed, while 261 individuals were referred to the judiciary, and 19 others were referred for disciplinary action, in addition to punishing 601 employees due to administrative and financial violations.
The authority continues to intensify its oversight role by monitoring shortcomings in government institutions and taking necessary actions against violators, emphasizing that safeguarding public funds and holding accountable those who fall short is a national priority that cannot be compromised.
The authority recently revealed massive corruption files, the most notable of which are financial violations in defense factories exceeding one million US dollars, dating back to the previous regime, along with violations in one of the geology companies that caused damages exceeding 148 billion Syrian pounds.
