Sherine and Hossam Habib back to court

Egyptian artist Sherine Abdel Wahab has filed an official complaint against her ex-husband, singer Hossam Habib, accusing him of defaming her and insulting her. This comes after he spoke about her on a TV program last March, making statements that caused her psychological and moral harm.
The crisis dates back to last Ramadan, when Hossam Habib appeared on a program hosted by the media figure Basma Wahba and revealed his opinion on the claims that Sherine Abdel Wahab is known as the 'Voice of Egypt'. Hossam objected, saying, 'If Sherine is the voice of Egypt, then I will renounce my Egyptian citizenship.'
Although those statements sparked widespread controversy at the time, Sherine did not take any official action or file any complaints against Hossam. However, after 4 months, she decided to pursue legal action against him.
Recently, Hossam Habib appeared on a music program and spoke positively about Sherine, offering her an apology during the interview. He admitted his mistake towards her, acknowledged that she deserves the title 'Voice of Egypt' and is a great artist, a star with a real impact in the music scene. It seems that Sherine Abdel Wahab wanted to send a message to Hossam Habib so that he does not talk about her in any other interviews, whether positively or negatively.
