The Security Chief of Sweida City, Major General Suleiman Abdul Baqi, confirmed that the Damascus-Sweida road is functioning normally and safely, noting that more than 100 trucks pass through it daily without any obstacles, denying rumors of a blockade or kidnapping incidents on the road.
In his statements, Abdul Baqi emphasized that the security agencies are working to hold a tribal reconciliation between the people of the governorate and the southern region, aiming to ensure no violations occur and to calm internal tensions, as part of enhancing community stability.
He also pointed out that the issue of re-administering the general secondary certificate exam falls within the shared responsibilities between the government, the governorate, and the security leadership, affirming the commitment to address this issue in a way that guarantees students' rights and restores confidence in the educational process.
