Samsung has entered the 2025 tech race by unveiling one of its boldest and most elegant phones yet, the Galaxy S25 Edge, featuring an ultra-slim design and luxurious touches, setting a new standard in the Galaxy S series. With a thickness of only 5.84mm and weighing just 162 grams, this phone is the lightest and thinnest in the company's history, sporting a titanium frame and a ceramic back in three exquisite colors: Icy Blue, Silver, and Dark Black. On the front, the phone showcases a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 2K resolution, a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and a strong brightness of 2600 nits. The screen nearly touches the edges due to its extremely slim design, protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Despite its slim profile, Samsung has not compromised on performance. The phone is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (Elite for Galaxy) processor manufactured using 3-nanometer technology, clocking speeds of up to 4.47GHz, supported by an innovative cooling system, 12GB of RAM, and storage options up to 512GB of UFS 4.0. In the camera department, the phone features a 200-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel wide camera, and a front camera with the same resolution. However, due to the thin design, optical zoom is absent, which may affect the photography experience for some users. The battery has a capacity of only 3900mAh, supporting wired charging at 25W, with no leaks suggesting wireless charging support, raising questions about power efficiency throughout a full day of use. The device runs on Android 15 and One UI 7 interface, with a set of Galaxy AI features like Audio Eraser, smart tools for notes and writing, and support for updates up to 7 years, making it an outstanding future-proof phone. The phone supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, 5G, features a USB-C 3.2 port, stereo speakers, and an IP rating for water and dust resistance. It is expected to be globally released on May 13th, with sales starting in Korea and China on May 23rd, and in the United States on the 30th of the month. Samsung plans to release only 40,000 units. As for prices, they start at 1.5 million Korean Won for the 256GB version, reaching 1.63 million Won for the 512GB version, while the European price ranges between 1200 and 1400 euros.
