In a tragic incident, the Turkish artistic community bid farewell to the famous singer Gülşen, who died after falling from her apartment balcony in the Çınarcık district of Yalova province.
Her son, Tuberk Yağız, announced the sad news to her fans through a post on his social media account, reiterating that the incident was unfortunate and not a suicide. He stated in his exact words: "We lost our mother in a tragic accident that occurred last night, may she rest in peace," adding that "the circulating reports about her suicide are unfounded."
According to initial details, the incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, the late artist fainted while sitting on the balcony of her sixth-floor apartment around three in the morning, accompanied by her daughter and a friend, and fell to the ground, passing away at the scene.
The artist Gülşen was born in 1973 in the Kasımpaşa neighborhood of the Beyoğlu district in Istanbul. She launched her artistic career at an early age in 1988, achieving widespread fame during the 1990s, where she distinguished herself with her romantic melodies within Arabesque music.
The artist stopped singing for a period after her marriage, but returned to the artistic scene strongly after her divorce in 2000, continuing to present her artistic works. The late artist leaves behind two sons.
