The head of the Syrian Civil Aviation Authority, Omar Al-Hosari, announced today, Wednesday, the launch of regular flights between Damascus and Tripoli on Syrian Airlines, starting from Thursday, October 16, with a frequency of one round trip per week.
Al-Hosari explained that the delay in resuming these flights was due to the commitment to implement the mechanism for exempting Syrians from taxes in Libya, noting that this procedure has officially come into effect thanks to cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.
He confirmed that the authority continues its work within the available capabilities to secure the right of Syrians to travel and communicate with their homeland, and to strengthen ties with the Syrian communities abroad.
