Qatar's Prime Minister emphasizes the need to lift sanctions on Syria to enable its recovery.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized the urgent need to lift the American sanctions on Syria, noting that this is a vital step to support its stability.

This came during his speech at the opening of the fifth edition of the "Qatar Economic Forum," where he said: "Lifting the American sanctions on our sisterly country Syria represented an important step in the right direction, and we look forward to similar steps to follow."

He explained that these actions send a clear message to the international community about the necessity of giving countries emerging from conflicts a real chance to rebuild, adding: "Priority should be given to providing a real and full opportunity for peoples coming out of wars and tensions to build a better chance."
