Turkey and the United States confirm their commitment to supporting the stability and sovereignty of Syria.

The joint Turkish-American group on Syria confirmed during its meeting in Washington the commitment of both countries to support a "stable, sovereign, and peaceful Syria," as stated in a joint statement published on the U.S. Department of State website.
The statement explained that "Turkey and the United States are committed to increasing cooperation and coordination to achieve stability and security in Syria," noting intensive discussions on ways to enhance stability in the region.
Meanwhile, U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau emphasized in a speech following the meeting, chaired jointly with his Turkish counterpart, Noh Yılmaz, the importance of "implementing President Donald Trump's decision to lift sanctions on Syria," while emphasizing "maintaining the unity, integrity, and stability of Syria."
Landau also pointed to the development of relations between the two countries, noting that they have "entered a new phase of partnership and mutual cooperation in various areas and issues, with the aim of achieving peace and enhancing trade and the economy."
