The General Security in Deir ez-Zor arrests a brigadier in the deposed Assad regime.

The Syrian General Security was able today, Saturday, to arrest the retired colonel in the Assad regime, Saleh Mohammed Al-Bassiss, in Deir Ezzor province.

Al-Bassiss is from the village of Ayyash and previously held the position of Deputy Chief of the Air Intelligence Branch in Aleppo.

On the 3rd of this month, Syrian security forces arrested Mahmoud Badiwi Al-Hussein in Deir Ezzor province, indicating that he held the position of head of the military security detachment in the area during the ousted regime.

Since the fall of the Assad regime on December 8th, the Syrian General Security has launched several campaigns in various Syrian provinces targeting former elements of the defunct regime.
