Palestinian factions conclude meetings in Cairo and preliminarily agree on Egypt's vision for managing Gaza

A Palestinian leadership source told "Al Jazeera" that the Palestinian factions have concluded their meetings in Cairo, with plans to resume them in less than a month to continue discussing the future management of the Gaza Strip in the post-war phase.

The source explained that Cairo presented its vision for the day after the war, which includes forming an administrative committee of "competent individuals who remained in Gaza during the war" to temporarily manage the sector.

The source added that the factions informed Egypt of their preliminary agreement on the proposed committee members, in a preliminary step towards reorganizing civilian life in Gaza.

The source also confirmed that Egypt informed the factions of its efforts with Washington and Tel Aviv to pass this vision, as part of regional and international efforts to solidify the ceasefire and rebuild the sector.
