Draft of the Temporary Constitution of the State of Palestine Open for Public Comment

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas issued a decision today, Monday, to publish the draft of the temporary constitution of the State of Palestine on an official electronic platform, allowing public comment for a period of 60 days.

The decision aims to expand citizen and institutional participation in drafting the constitution by receiving comments and suggestions to enhance transparency and community involvement.

The constitutional committee tasked with preparing the draft stated that it worked for seven months and held about 70 meetings, adhering to the principles of separation of powers and pluralism to ensure institutional stability and respect for citizens' rights.
