Opening of Appeals After the Announcement of Preliminary Results of the Syrian People's Assembly Elections

The Higher Committee for the Elections of the Syrian People's Assembly today announced the preliminary results of the elections in various governorates and declared the opening of appeals for all candidates and interested parties.

The committee clarified that the appeals cover all stages of the electoral process, from campaigning to voting and counting of votes, and will continue to be accepted until the end of official working hours on Monday, October 6, 2025, before the appeals committee in each governorate.

A total of 1,578 candidates participated in these elections, distributed across 50 electoral districts throughout Syria, including about 14% women, competing for seats in the People's Assembly.

The committee confirmed that these measures are part of ensuring transparency and the right to review the results for all stakeholders in the electoral process.
