Mona Wassef is crowned "Ambassador of Peace in the World" in recognition of her artistic career

The famous Syrian artist Mona Wassef received the title of "Ambassador of Peace in the World" from the International Human Rights Organization during the ceremony held under the title "Syria of Hope" at the amphitheater of the Presidency of Damascus University on Sunday evening.

This honor came in recognition of Mona Wassef's artistic career, which has significantly influenced Syrian and Arab drama, and Wassef was included among the personalities who played a pivotal role in promoting the values of peace and human coexistence.

In her statements, she expressed her pride in this title, noting that her love for her profession is what helped her continue throughout these years.

She emphasized that what scares her is fear itself, considering that silence can sometimes be a guarantee of peace, but true peace is when children live in the arms of their parents and find what they need in terms of care and basic rights.
