Mohamed Ramadan is threatened with referral to a union investigation due to his strange clothing.

Sayed Mahmoud, the media advisor of the Egyptian Federation of Artistic Syndicates, announced the referral of the artist Mohamed Ramadan for investigation in the presence of the heads of the three artistic syndicates, after appearing in strange clothes during a music concert outside Egypt. The decision came after Ramadan appeared in unusual attire during a musical performance at the Coachella festival held in the United States. Mahmoud posted on his personal Facebook account stating, "Following the incident involving Mohamed Ramadan, the Federation of Artistic Syndicates will take action regarding what the artist Mohamed Ramadan did at his concert in America, once the photos and videos of the event are confirmed, and he will be investigated in the presence of the three syndicate heads and the head of the Federation of Artistic Syndicates, as he is an artist representing the image of Egyptian art." Mahmoud explained that there are specific mechanisms for referring any member of the three artistic syndicates (musicians, performing arts, and cinema) for investigation, where the member's actions are examined by a specialized committee within the relevant syndicate or under the Federation of Artistic Syndicates, and then a decision is made whether to refer for investigation or not if there is no justification for it. Mahmoud added that in the incident related to Mohamed Ramadan, an official complaint was filed by a lawyer to the public prosecutor, prompting the Federation of Artistic Syndicates to immediately examine the videos circulating from the artist's concert. Mahmoud continued that "if the videos are confirmed, Ramadan will be referred for investigation upon his arrival in Cairo." Mohamed Ramadan had performed at his concert as part of the Coachella festival, becoming the first Egyptian artist to participate in this global event held in California, USA. Ramadan sparked controversy among many social media users after appearing in a strange outfit at the concert, wearing a dance suit, trousers, and a Cardi B shirt with a Pharaonic "Key of Life" symbol on the back. Some believed that Ramadan intended to appear in attire resembling Pharaonic clothing, while raising the Egyptian flag as a sign of his support for his country in his stances.
