NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said that Russian President Vladimir Putin "is suffering from a lack of money and ideas," emphasizing that Western support for Ukraine has proven successful and must continue without decline.

In statements made during his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, Rutte stressed that "my colleagues in NATO will provide the necessary support for any peace gesture in Ukraine," noting that the alliance is working to ensure Putin accepts a ceasefire through political and economic pressure.

Rutte added that "Putin's understanding of Trump's perspective and sitting down to negotiate is the way to end the war," emphasizing that the sanctions imposed on Moscow are beginning to bear fruit, and their continuation is necessary to push the Russian leadership towards diplomatic solutions.
