A specialized technical team from the German airline group "Lufthansa" conducted an evaluation tour at Damascus International Airport as part of the preparatory measures to resume air operations between Syria and Germany.

The Syrian General Authority of Civil Aviation and Transport confirmed, in a statement reported by the SANA agency, that this visit is part of the efforts to meet the needs of the Syrian community abroad, especially those residing in Germany, in addition to preparing the necessary technical and legal conditions for the resumption of flights between the two countries.

The visit included holding an extensive meeting between the two sides, during which the proposed action plan and timeline for the resumption stages were discussed, with a focus on ensuring compliance with the highest safety and technical efficiency standards.
