The health ministers of Syria and Sudan discuss enhancing health and pharmaceutical cooperation.

Syrian Health Minister Dr. Maysalun Ali and his Sudanese counterpart Dr. Haitham Mohammed discussed enhancing bilateral cooperation in the health and pharmaceutical fields during a meeting on the sidelines of the 78th session of the World Health Assembly held in Geneva under the theme "One World for Health."
The discussion focused on developing partnerships in the pharmaceutical industries, increasing the export of Syrian medicines to Sudan to enhance pharmaceutical security and facilitate the exchange of expertise between the two countries. The meeting also addressed several health issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the ministers emphasized "the importance of continuing coordination between the two ministries and opening up new avenues for cooperation to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples."
It is worth mentioning that the 78th session of the World Health Assembly started last Monday and will continue until the 27th of May, with the participation of high-level delegations from various countries around the world.
