Faisal Al-Qasim condemns the incident of storming the office of the governor of Sweida and confirms.

Syrian media personality Dr. Faisal al-Qasim expressed strong condemnation for the incident that took place at the office of the Governor of Al-Suwayda, Dr. Mustafa Bakour, on Wednesday, May 21, pointing out that this behavior does not reflect the will of the people of the province, but rather represents an isolated act by a limited group.
Al-Qasim, in his comments on the incident, emphasized that the majority of the people of Al-Suwayda have denounced the incident and shown clear solidarity with the governor, whom he described as "a respectable, dignified, people-oriented, well-mannered, and widely beloved figure."
He also highlighted Bakour's significant efforts in serving the province, stating: "By everyone's testimony, he works tirelessly, day and night, to improve the reality of Al-Suwayda."
Al-Qasim added that during his meeting with the governor, the latter affirmed that "bringing Al-Suwayda to safety is my greatest concern and top priority," underscoring his constant commitment to the province's interests despite the challenges.
The Syrian media personality also noted that Bakour is highly esteemed by the people of Al-Suwayda, as he was received one day before the incident in several local gatherings as a "dear guest," amidst welcoming and praising his efforts.
He continued: "Even those who stormed his office were received calmly, and he offered them flowers... That is the character of Dr. Bakour, and that is the nature of this man who does not respond to wrongdoing with wrongdoing."
Al-Qasim concluded his statement by sending his appreciation to the Governor of Al-Suwayda, expressing optimism that pending issues will be resolved soon, saying: "With everyone's efforts, it won't be long before all pending issues in the province are resolved, and there are now significant efforts that will yield good results, God willing."
It is worth mentioning that an armed group acting outside the law stormed the building in an attempt to force the authorities to release the wanted individual "Ragheb Qarqout," who was convicted in several car theft cases before being apprehended in Damascus.
The media office of the Governor of Al-Suwayda stated in an official statement that the group behind the attack was led by "Fadi Nasr," with support from "Tarek Al-Maghoush" and several accomplices, as the attack coincided with the presence of Governor Dr. Mustafa Bakour and several building employees.
