Latest Developments on Hani Shakir's Health: Signs of Improvement After Colon Surgery
The health condition of artist Hani Shakir has shown slight improvement in recent hours after undergoing urgent and precise surgery on his colon.
A close source to the artist explained that the past few days were the hardest in his battle with illness, as Hani Shakir completely lost consciousness at one point, raising concerns among the medical team and his loved ones.
However, the last 24 hours have brought good news for his fans: his body has begun to show responses to treatment with simple motor reactions in his hand and foot, which doctors considered a positive sign of regaining part of his consciousness, while he continues to stay in intensive care under careful observation.
As a precaution against infection and to ensure complete calm, strict isolation has been imposed on the artist's room, allowing only his wife and son to visit for a limited time, with no other person permitted regardless of their relationship or artistic status.
This health crisis came shortly after Hani Shakir underwent precise surgery on his spine last January due to a severe herniated disc, which kept him away from the scene for a recovery period.
Despite this, the artist insisted on meeting his fans on January 31 in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, where he held a concert while sitting in a chair, expressing his gratitude for the support of his fans before complications from the illness returned, necessitating urgent colon surgery.
The recent crisis has caused a wide wave of solidarity among art stars, as Hamada Helal, Tamer Hosny, Medhat Saleh, Ali El Haggar, and Mohamed Hamaki reached out to his family to check on him.
Artists Mervat Amin, Elham Shaheen, and media personality Bousy Shalaby also made sure to visit the hospital, but they were not allowed to see him in compliance with medical instructions.
