The young star of Barcelona and the Spanish national team, Lamine Yamal, shared touching details about his difficult childhood and how his life changed thanks to football and the great support from his mother, Sheila Ibaina.
Yamal (18 years old) said in an interview with journalist José Ramón de la Morena that he lived a tough childhood in a small apartment where the room and kitchen were in one place, before later moving to "La Masia," the famous academy of Barcelona, which marked the beginning of his journey to stardom.
The Catalan talent added that his mother was his biggest support in his career, noting that after his first season with the first team, he decided to live alone, but he made sure that his mother always stayed close to him.
In a touching gesture of loyalty, Yamal revealed that he bought a new house for his mother, saying: "I asked her about the area she wanted, and she chose it. I furnished the house with everything she wanted. For me, she is my queen and the most precious person in my life."
He confirmed that seeing his mother happy and his brother living a better childhood than his own represents for him the greatest achievement, adding: "Also, my father and grandmother are now living in stability. This is all any son could dream of."
