Jordanian Foreign Minister: The Israeli attack on Qatar is a violation of international law and represents an unacceptable provocation

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi stated during an emergency session of the Security Council that the Israeli government is rogue and filled with hatred, seeing itself above the law.
Safadi condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli attack on Qatar, affirming that Tel Aviv does not miss an opportunity to exploit it to fuel conflict and spread chaos and violence in the region. He described the attack as a blatant violation of international law and a cowardly assault on the capital of an Arab state.
The minister added that the occupation government lies in all its justifications for the betrayal of Qatar, pointing out that Israel targeted a state that is tirelessly working with Egypt and the United States to reach a prisoner exchange deal.
Safadi noted that the Arab Peace Initiative, launched in 2002, is still waiting for a positive response from the occupation, indicating Israel's continued disregard for peace efforts.
The minister emphasized that injustice has exceeded limits, calling for an end to the aggression before it is too late, and stressing the need for the Security Council to protect what remains of the credibility of international law and international humanitarian law to restore confidence that humanitarian values are applied without discrimination.
