Iraq.. A Dispute 'Over Children' Turns into a Bloody Armed Battle in Dhi Qar

The Iraqi province of Dhi Qar witnessed a horrific act of violence after a minor dispute between children from two neighboring families escalated into an armed conflict involving firearms, resulting in casualties.
According to security sources, the incident occurred in the Karmashiya area of the Qarmah Bani Said district near the Shuyukh market.

The events began with a quarrel between children living in the same neighborhood, before both families intervened and the dispute gradually turned into an armed confrontation.
As tensions rose, light and medium firearms were used, leading to casualties at the scene.

Security sources reported one death and three others injured with varying degrees of wounds, while a final toll has not yet been announced, amid ongoing tensions in the area.

Security forces have sent significant reinforcements to the scene of the incident in an attempt to impose control and stop the clashes, in addition to pursuing those involved in the dispute.
The area is experiencing a state of security alert to prevent the escalation of violence.
