Iran: Our nuclear facilities are free from inspections by the International Agency and Western agreements are unenforceable

Ismail Baqaei, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, confirmed that all Iranian nuclear facilities are currently not undergoing any inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency, noting that the last inspection at the Bushehr nuclear power plant was about ten days ago, as part of a cooperation agreement with Russia.
Baqaei explained in press statements today, Monday, that the presence of agency inspectors in Iran is currently non-existent, and that any decision regarding the future of inspections is up to the Iranian Supreme National Security Council.
He added that the Cairo understanding, which was concluded last month with Egyptian mediation to enhance cooperation with the agency, is no longer enforceable due to the conditions imposed by Western countries, making its implementation practically impossible.
Regarding diplomatic relations with Russia, the spokesman clarified that discussions are ongoing at multiple levels, with the possibility of holding meetings at the level of foreign ministers when necessary, emphasizing that Russia's role is important as a permanent member and rotating president of the Security Council, especially concerning the mechanisms that Tehran considers illegal for interference in its nuclear affairs.
Baqaei pointed out that both Russia and China have explicitly declared the illegality of the three European measures, and that four other permanent members of the Security Council did not support these measures, while some other countries were forced under pressure from the United States and Europe to agree informally.
