An International Investment Delegation Discusses Economic Partnership Opportunities in Syria

The Syrian Minister of Economy and Trade, Nidal Al-Shaar, discussed with a delegation of more than 30 investors representing the Gulf countries, the United States, and Europe; ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation in the country.
This took place during a meeting held at the ministry's headquarters in Damascus, where the minister reviewed "the investment advantages provided by the Syrian economic environment, and the governmental measures aimed at facilitating and developing investment".
For their part, the delegation members expressed "their interest in the Syrian market and the available investment opportunities, and establishing investments in all available fields".
This meeting comes as part of a series of efforts aimed at enhancing partnerships with international investors, as Minister Al-Shaar had discussed last week with "a group of Syrian investors and academics residing in China; ways to enhance cooperation between the government and the private sector, and to benefit from the expertise of national competencies abroad to support the national economy".
