The Turkish star Hande Erçel has returned to Istanbul, where she underwent drug testing at the forensic medicine institute, as part of a wide-ranging security campaign targeting celebrities in art, media, and social media influencers.
The procedures included the collection of blood and hair samples, as part of the ongoing investigations, with results expected to be announced in the coming period.

In her first comment, Erçel categorically denied the accusations against her, affirming that she has never used drugs or any stimulants in her life.
She stated that she maintains a healthy lifestyle due to the nature of her work, noting that she is aware of her significant influence on the public and always strives to present a positive image both in Turkey and abroad.

The case is not limited to Erçel; it has extended to include several well-known names in the artistic community and businessmen, including models and prominent sports figures.
All accused individuals are undergoing medical tests before the investigations are completed, with the possibility of their temporary release until the final results are issued.

According to Turkish laws, those convicted of drug use may face prison sentences ranging from two to five years, with penalties being harsher in some cases.
The prosecution may also postpone legal action, provided the accused undergoes a treatment program for one year, ending with the expungement of their criminal record if they comply with the conditions.

This case is part of a series of campaigns launched by Turkish authorities since last October, resulting in the involvement of several celebrities in similar cases.
