In just 8 hours.. Dubai Police thwart the "Pink Diamond" plot worth 25 million dollars and return it to its owner

In a story reminiscent of Hollywood movies, Dubai Police managed to thwart the theft of a rare pink diamond estimated to be worth 25 million US dollars, returning it to its owner in just 8 hours, after a special operation dubbed "Pink Diamond".

The diamond, classified among the rarest in the world with a chance of finding a similar one at only 0.01%, was in the possession of a diamond dealer who brought it from Europe and displayed it in his store in Dubai. However, three individuals from an Asian gang tracked his steps for many months and devised a meticulous plan that lasted over a year, to deceive him into believing they were acting as intermediaries for a wealthy businessman interested in purchasing it.

The gang arranged meetings with the dealer in luxury hotels, using expensive cars to reinforce the image of wealth. At the peak of the plan, they brought in a global diamond expert to examine the diamond, which boosted the dealer's confidence and prompted him to take it out of his secure store for the first time, to show it to the "fake buyer" in one of the private villas. There, the perpetrators seized the moment and snatched the rare gem before fleeing with it.

The trick did not stop there. They attempted to smuggle the diamond abroad by hiding it inside a small refrigerator and shipping it to an Asian country. But the scene quickly turned; the Dubai Police investigation team formed an immediate task force, and thanks to their smart systems and precise tracking technologies, they were able to identify the perpetrators and their locations, leading to their arrest within less than 8 hours.

The biggest surprise was for the dealer himself, who said that the speed of Dubai Police's response to his phone call amazed him and immediately reassured him, adding: "They assured me from the very first moment that the diamond would return to me quickly.. and indeed, the next day I received a call informing me of the gang's arrest and the recovery of my rare gem".

The diamond, classified as "Fancy Intense", weighing 21.25 carats with exceptional clarity and excellent cut, returned to the display of its store after nearly disappearing forever, allowing Dubai Police to write a new chapter in their record of special operations that combine field intelligence and advanced security technology.
